As we seek to push the limits of this, the problem arises of how to meet the requirements of NHRA and other sanctioned tow strips that require a parachute for cars going over 150 miles per hour. The Titan Motorsports detachable parachute mount for the MKIV Supra allows a parachute to be securely mounted to the vehicle for days on the brake strip and easily removed with a single screw for normal on-road driving. Our detachable slide mounts were manufactured from CAD before being laser cut and CNC bent. They are made of lightweight chromoly steel. The brackets are built into custom jigs to ensure accurate mounting. They are TIG welded and powder coated to prevent surface corrosion.
The bracket replaces the factory rear bumper bracket and uses the existing OEM support holes for a secure fit. We've also incorporated the appropriate brackets to keep the factory foam bumper bracket in place and prevent bumper sag. We also include a CAD drawn cutting template to help you accurately measure and cut your OEM bumper to reveal the slide mount. The cutting hole required is as small as possible so that it can easily be hidden by your license plate when not in use.
The parachute mounts are already powder coated in black or silver.
