Powerhouse Racing is always at the forefront in creating solutions to common problems encountered with the 2jz engine. A common problem is the timing pickup, which often separates from the main timing belt sprocket and causes spin, a trigger/sync error. This leads to running and control timing problems. As a solution, we built a one-piece gear so you'll never face this problem again.

Instead of welding the factory gear, PHR CNC machined a one-piece steel gear to offer an even stronger product. Galvanized to prevent corrosion.

**NOTE FOR VVTi*** A 2JZ with the VVTi system has a different timing gear with 36-2 teeth. It's a single piece and doesn't suffer from the same potential problems. That means you don't need to change the gearbox on a VVT-i setup.
