Originally developed for the RS3 platform, we now offer this intake for the RSQ3 as well. This intake system was designed to offer the highest possible flow rate while allowing for the lowest intake temperatures possible. Each component has been engineered to provide a smooth and free flow path for the turbo. The intake pipe has an inside diameter of 103mm or just over 4? and has a smooth curve from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The filter itself was specially designed for this inlet and has a huge outside diameter of 210mm or 8.3? with a filter area of over 130,000mm^2. The patented venturi housing was developed to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the RSQ3 engine compartment and offers laminar flow to the turbo pipe. Finally, the duct seals the filter opening on the front screen, but it is not only restricted by the standard feed. We've raised the front of the duct to now create an additional opening behind the cowl that accommodates an additional 7? corresponds to the diameter from which the intake manifold can be removed. The resulting system has the ability to deliver 840 CFM at 28? H2O to flow while keeping intake temperatures to a minimum with the sealed design.
The Eventuri difference
The F3 RSQ3 Eventuri System utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbocharger tube. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that creates the Venturi effect.
PERFOMANCE
Flow bench tests
We performed flow tests using a Superflow SF-1020 to measure the maximum possible flow rate at a pressure drop of 28" H2O. The tests were performed on the same day under controlled conditions using the same test fixture for each system. We tested our complete intake system against the Stock airbox system tested. The results show how restrictive the stock airbox is, which we were able to improve by up to 58% in the maximum possible flow rate. Importantly, this was achieved with a sealed intake system, so intake temps also stay on be kept to a minimum.
Examination on the test bench
Our Stage 3 intake has been tested by various renowned tuners worldwide who have built high performance RS3/TTRS projects for street and track use. The first results come from BR Performance Netherlands who tested our system on a TTRS with a TTE700 hybrid turbo. The tests were carried out on the same day with the hood closed. They tested the stock airbox against our Stage 3 intake and also with the addition of our 4" turbo inlet pipe which is an additional product - details can be seen on our Audi product page.
