A catch tank is essential on a high-performance vehicle to protect the engine from increased crankcase blow-by that accumulates during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air flowing back into the intake stream can result in poor performance. Radium Engineering's surge tanks feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-stage oil separators, and an o-ring sealed dipstick.
EVO X CATCH TANK KIT DETAILS :
Radium Engineering offers several completely independent catch tank kits for the Evo X, sold individually or together via the menu above. The first type does NOT vent to the atmosphere (VTA) and is therefore suitable for exhaust gases and trains. Closed systems direct clean, filtered air back into the engine to be combusted and create a negative pressure in the crankcase for optimal performance. In addition, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the interior. The Crankcase VTA Kit does not recirculate crankcase gases back into the engine and is intended for race cars that struggle with large amounts of blow-by gases.

The 20-0105 PCV Catch Tank Kit (shown below) is compatible with all 2008 thru 2016 EVO X models. It installs immediately behind the right headlight and plumbs in-line with the PCV hose. When the PCV valve is open, unwanted crankcase fumes, unused fuel, and oil sludge are drawn into the intake manifold. The catch can acts like an in-line filter, capturing and retaining the contaminants before they can enter the intake manifold. Note: Since the radium catch cans are pressure-tight, they are also suitable for applications with boost pressure. Connection to the intake manifold is permissible and withstands any boost pressure, a check valve is not required.
The PCV kit shown above is a closed system that requires a vacuum signal from the intake manifold to open the PCV valve.
NOTE : Some European models have headlight washer reservoirs that conflict with the PCV catch tank.

The 20-0106-XX-FL Crankcase Catch Tank Kits (shown below) install just behind the left hand headlight and route in line with the crankcase ventilation hose. This is the hose that goes from the valve cover fitting to the turbo air intake pipe. On 2008 thru 2009 EVO X models that use the "metal" valve cover, the hose is 3/8" (10mm) in diameter and requires P/N 20-0106-08. On EVO X models 2010-2016 models that use the "plastic" valve cover, the hose is 1/2" (13mm) and requires P/N 20-0106-10. The above kits are designed for the OEM intake system. If an aftermarket intake system is installed, consider purchasing the 20-0300 Alternate Location Mount separately.

Purchase in conjunction with Crankcase Separator Kit 20-0106-XX.
