OVERVIEW :
The Radium Engineering fuel mount replaces the factory fuel pump assembly in the R35 GT-R tank and allows up to three aftermarket 39mm diameter pumps (brushed or brushless) to supply fuel to the engine. No permanent vehicle modifications are required for installation. The pumps are housed in an aluminum sump that is always full during operation. This ensures that there is no lack of fuel, even when driving aggressively. The fuel pump outlet port has a -10AN female ORB thread and a 6AN male adapter, while the return port has a -8AN female ORB thread and a 6AN male adapter. The system is compatible with alternative fuels such as methanol, ethanol, E85, etc. Radium Engineering recommends reading the installation guide (link above) prior to purchase.

PREVENTION OF FUEL LACK :
The GT-R saddlebag style fuel tank uses two OEM venturi jet pumps. They deliver fuel from both sides of the tank to the OEM pump bucket and are powered by fuel back out of the regulator. When fuel pumps are upgraded, these venturi jet pumps become an obstruction in the return line, resulting in increased fuel pressure and unreliable governor performance. By reconfiguring the venturi jet pump piping, Radium Engineering has retained its functions without affecting the fuel returning from the regulator. This allows the pumps to be upgraded without fuel pressure concerns.
HINTS:
1. Venturi jet pumps consume 15-45 LPH depending on fuel pressure. Take this fuel loss into account when dimensioning the fuel pumps.
2. If it is important that the fuel pressure remains constant after the engine has been switched off, install one of these check valves somewhere in the fuel system.

In addition to the venturi jet pumps scavenging the fuel, the pressure regulator's return line also keeps the large sump filled with fuel. Additionally, the Radium Engineering 20-0572 has three 355LPH one-way inflation valves integrated into the bottom of the collection tank (see below) that allow fuel to flow in but not out. The 1-way inflation valves have a flow rate of 355 LPH each (1,065 LPH total).

All of the components work together to keep the sump full of fuel and prevent the fuel pump from starving.

PLUMBING :
To expose the OEM fuel pump cover plate, the standard fuel hanger kit includes low profile swiveling adapters that convert to male 6AN, as well as short 6AN PTFE hoses and adapters for easy connection to the OEM fuel lines. Other adapters are available and sold separately.

FILTRATION : Sock filters are provided for all 3 fuel pump inlets. Because the fuel hanger eliminates the non-serviceable post-pump filter, an aftermarket filter must be installed downstream (see 20-0551-0X Fuel Hanger Feed Kits below).

ELECTRONICS :
The Radium fuel pump hanger features specially designed rustproof electrical bolts that easily handle the high current demands absent from multi-pin bulkhead connectors. These service-friendly connectors are hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. Non-conductive anodized aluminum acorn nuts are included to prevent accidental shorts. The electrical accessories for the fuel pump(s) and the OEM sensors are included. In addition, the wiring in the tank is insulated with high-quality, chemically resistant ETFE. The factory temperature and fuel level sensors are reused.

The factory GT-R fuel pump mount uses two fuel pumps. In some cases two aftermarket pumps can use the OEM wiring. However, separate wiring is required to control a third pump.
The fuel pump wiring depends on which fuel pump(s) is/are being used and the triggering strategy to be implemented. See the general recommendations below:

FUEL PUMPS :
The 20-0572 Fuel Pump Bracket is compatible with both brushed and brushless fuel pumps. Any combination of 1, 2 or 3 pumps can be configured.

The installer must provide their own fuel pumps and do the final assembly.

Traditional brushed fuel pump compatibility
Specially developed for the AEM 50-1200 and Walbro GSS342 (255lph) fuel pumps. However, there are many other makes/models of pumps that are compatible with the same fitting and electrical connection and may work as well. CLICK HERE for information on the fuel pumps offered by Radium Engineering.
NOTE: The larger Walbro DCSS 39/50 E85 pumps (F90000267/274/285/295) are not physically compatible with this product.

Compatibility with brushless fuel pumps
For vehicles with high fuel demands, a brushless fuel pump system can be a good option. This radium tank mounting system is compatible with up to three Ti Automotive E5LM brushless fuel pumps. Check valves are included so multiple Ti Automotive E5LM pumps can be used without backflow between pumps.
NOTE: A separate, standalone controller is required for a brushless fuel pump.

20-0551-0X FUEL HANGER FEED KIT, NISSAN R35 GT-R

NOTE : The fuel delivery kit is only suitable for left-hand drive (LHD) vehicles.

When installing a radium tank hanger with high flow aftermarket pumps, the stock R35 fuel lines may not be adequate. The fuel feed kits include everything needed to connect any 20-055X-0X radium fuel hangers directly to the radium fuel lines. They come with new PTFE feed lines and use the factory feed line as the return for the regulator.
When selecting a feed kit, the first thing to choose is the type of filter element. Stainless steel elements can be cleaned and reused, while microglass offers better filtration efficiency but cannot be reused.

Since the fit is extremely tight, the -10AN "PUMPS" outlet is first split into two -6AN feed lines. The two 6AN PTFE lines run parallel under the vehicle and are secured with billet aluminum brackets using OEM hardware.

The two -6AN PTFE lines pass through a serviceable fuel filter secured with a GT-R specific heat shield.

Depending on the kit chosen (-03 or -05), the fuel filter is assembled with the relative elements.

The 2 lines are split and can be installed in the 6AN connectors on the front connectors of the fuel lines (not included).
