RADIUMAUTO fuel pump mount for Mitsubishi EVO 7-8-9

The Radium Engineering Fuel Pump Bracket allows the use of 1 or 2 aftermarket pumps in the stock Mitsubishi Evo 7-8-9 fuel tank.

This system is ONLY compatible with Walbro pumps (Ti Automotive F90000267, F90000274 and F90000285) and the short AEM 50-1220 E85 pumps. The machined assembly inserts into the factory fuel tank and replaces the OEM hold down flange. A single 8AN pump supply connector and 6AN return connector simplifies the routing of aftermarket AN hoses. However, the pre-assembled adapter fittings are compatible with the OEM fuel lines.

The specially designed stainless electric bolts easily handle the high current demands not found with compact bulkhead connectors. These service-friendly fittings are properly sealed and impervious to all common and exotic fuels. The low profile design allows all wiring to be conveniently tucked under the OEM cover plate. Non-conductive acorn nuts prevent accidental short circuits. In addition, the high-quality wiring in the tank is insulated with chemically resistant ETFE. Electrical hardware for the fuel pump(s) and OEM level sensor is included.

A major issue with the EVO 7-8-9 OEM fuel pump mount is the restrictive return port and venturi jet pump. When using high flow aftermarket fuel pumps, the OEM jet pump becomes too restrictive and creates unwanted back pressure in the regulator return line, resulting in excessive pressure in the fuel system. The Radium fuel pump mount includes a Venturi jet pump with a new integrated pressure relief valve to minimize back pressure.

All returning fuel from the pressure regulator and crossover hose exits the jet pump, leaving the OEM tank full to prevent starvation.

For single pump applications, OEM fuel pump controller wiring can be reused. However, it is recommended that the OEM wiring be updated as these high flow fuel pumps draw additional current that requires a larger gauge wire.

Choice of pump configuration :
- This option includes enough components to use 1 or 2 fuel pumps. Depending on the configuration, some parts are simply not used (see 20-0345-10 below).

- A flexible fuel pump filter sock like this one must be used for proper installation.

NOTE : This kit eliminates the OEM hanger "post" fuel pump filter. An aftermarket, low micron fuel filter should be installed downstream to protect the injectors from contamination. NOTE: The optional fuel hanger duct kits listed below include this necessary post-pump filter.

The tubing kits include everything needed to connect directly to an aftermarket fuel line (-8AN connector) and an FPR (-6AN connector) for both single and dual pump configurations. This includes a pre-assembled PTFE -8AN feed line from the hanger to the engine bay and the kit reuses the factory feed line as the regulator return line.

The PTFE-8AN hoses are connected to a Radium Engineering fuel filter that mounts under the vehicle with a specially designed EVO 7-8-9 bolt mount.

Depending on the kit chosen (-01,-03,-05), the fuel filter is assembled with 1 of 3 different elements.
