The R35 Nissan GTR's factory air mass sensors have difficulty reading the additional airflow provided with upgraded turbos and aftermarket bleed valves, as well as in high boost OEM applications. To fix this problem the air volume needs to be converted to a velocity density where the air temp sensor moves after the intercooler and a MAP sensor needs to be installed. Titan Motorsports have developed a plug and play kit that addresses this issue by relocating the intake air temperature sensor from the factory MAF housing to the upper pipe of the upper intercooler.
This kit is a recommended upgrade for R35 GTRs over 700whp or for those looking to run vent-to-atmosphere bleed valves. This installation takes 5 minutes and the included Plug-N-Play strap allows the vehicle to be returned to inventory. Note that this change requires an ECU recalibration for speed density. If properly calibrated, the driving behavior will not change.
