Radium Engineering surge tanks feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-stage oil separators, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. This oil separator kit is compatible with all BMW 135i, 335i and 535i models with the 3.0L twin turbo N54 engine. Check out the assembly instructions link before ordering.
An oil catch tank is essential on a high performance vehicle to protect the engine from increased crankcase blow-by that accumulates during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air coming back into the intake stream can result in poor performance.
Radium Engineering's closed loop system is NOT vented to atmosphere (VTA) and is therefore exhaust and rail ready. Instead, clean, filtered air is recirculated through the engine to be combusted and promote crankcase vacuum for optimal performance.
In addition, the closed system prevents unwanted oil vapors from entering the interior.
The kit attaches to the OE power steering reservoir bracket without cutting or drilling.
As shown below, this kit includes billet wood N54 specific 10AN adapter fittings, eliminating the need to modify the OEM breather hoses.
